Fate has chosen a hard line for the two former Napoli players now in the Cagliari jersey: on the night that could gift the Scudetto to the Azzurri, neither Gianluca Gaetano nor Elia Caprile will be in the game. The attacking midfielder born in 2000, one of the most anticipated profiles at the Maradona, has in fact undergone arthroscopic surgery for the lesion to the lateral meniscus of his left knee.
The operation, conducted by Professor Pier Paolo Mariani at the Villa Stuart clinic in Rome, was a complete success, but his return to the field will not take place before July, after the necessary physiotherapy cycle. Caprile, who went on loan from Napoli to Cagliari last January, will instead have to stay out of action due to the after-effects of a discomfort he suffered in Sunday's match.
