Mondragone – The community of Mondragone has been hit by tragic news: the body of Rayan Mdallel, the fifteen-year-old who ran away from home on January 30, was unfortunately found lifeless in the Turin area.
The official announcement came through a touching message published on the social media channels of the mayor of Mondragone, Francesco Lavanga.
“A few hours ago I learned the sad and terrible news that our young Rayan Mdallel, the fifteen-year-old boy who ran away from home on January 30 of this year, was unfortunately found dead in circumstances that are yet to be ascertained,” began the mayor, expressing the deep sorrow that has shaken the entire community.
“I cannot find, but perhaps there are no words that can fill such an unjust and heartbreaking pain,” continued Lavanga, underlining the bewilderment and profound sadness that Rayan’s premature death, which occurred in circumstances that are still unclear, has left in all those who knew him and in the entire citizenry of Mondragona.
“Certainly representing the bewilderment of the entire Mondragone community, we extend our closeness to his family, friends and all those who loved him,” added the mayor, ideally embracing the young man's family in this moment of immense pain.
According to initial reports, the fifteen-year-old's body was found in the Turin area, hundreds of kilometers from Mondragone, raising further questions about the dynamics of his disappearance and tragic discovery.
Mayor Lavanga announced that in the coming days a moment of mourning will be proclaimed in memory of Rayan, “in which to reflect and above all pray”. The message ends with a moving “Rest in peace little Rayan”.

The news of Rayan's discovery is really very sad and leaves a feeling of emptiness. It is incomprehensible how such a young life could end in this way. I hope that answers can be found for his family.
