LThe Guardia di Finanza of Naples North and the Mondragone Company have executed a preventive seizure order issued by the GIP of the Court of Naples North, at the request of the Prosecutor's Office, for over 800 thousand euros and several vessels against two entrepreneurs from Castel Volturno, active in the shipbuilding sector.
The two, owners of a company declared bankrupt, are accused of fraudulent bankruptcy and fraudulent evasion of tax payments.
The investigations, conducted by the Economic Crime Section of the Naples North Prosecutor's Office, revealed that the suspects had fraudulently removed assets from the bankruptcy estate - including boats, liquidity and company assets - to reinvest them in a "clone" company created specifically for this purpose, damaging the creditors.
Furthermore, a systematic evasion of taxes and social security contributions emerged, which aggravated the company's debt exposure, leading to its bankruptcy. The illicit profit, resulting from the tax default, amounts to 748.115,47 euros, to which are added 54.800 euros of misappropriated sums and a boat worth approximately 20 thousand euros, all seized.
The Prosecutor's Office of Naples North and the Guardia di Finanza reaffirm their commitment to combating bankruptcy crimes and money laundering, to protect the transparency of the economic system and the interests of creditors, the treasury and workers. The operation represents a further step in the fight against illicit phenomena that compromise the legality and correct functioning of the market.
