A month of shows, between classic and modern
From classical to hip hop, through musicals and video dance: the 2025 Saggio Spettacolo will feature students of all educational levels, from pre-dance children to high school students. To enhance each event, guest dancers of national importance will accompany the students on an artistic journey of great technical and expressive value.
Pina Testa: “A lifelong dream”
“In 1978 I opened this school with a dream: to offer the kids of Salerno the opportunity to experience dance at high levels, without having to leave,” says Pina Testa. “Seeing them on stage today, alongside professional artists, with shows of great scope, is the realization of that dream”. A strong message, which underlines how dance is not only technique, but also an inner journey and personal discovery.
The debut: Thursday 29th May with the little dancers
The curtain will rise on Thursday, May 29 at 19.30:XNUMX p.m. at the Teatro delle Arti in Salerno. The little ones will be on stage: pre-dance and preparatory courses will perform choreographies inspired by the world of dolls and character dance, concluding with a choreographic version of Coppélia, a danced fairy tale that combines lightness and reflection.
Saturday, May 31: The Graduation Rite and the Life-Changing Dance
On Saturday 31 May, again at 19.30:2025 pm, there will be space for the advanced courses and a moment full of emotion: the last performance as students for the three graduating students of XNUMX. The young talents will close their training course with a pas de deux, accompanied by professional guest dancers, in a symbolic “catwalk” towards the world of professional dance.
The protagonists: three young people, three interpretations, three visions of dance
Annalena Postiglione will dance with Ferdinando De Filippo the pas de deux from La Bayadère, a masterpiece steeped in mysticism and lyricism.
Eleonora Arcieri, with Marco Protano, will perform Coppélia, a brilliant ballet between reality and fantasy.
Antonio Adriatico, accompanied by Annamaria Natella, will give life to Bolero, an intense choreography based on the famous score by Ravel.
Grand finale on May 31st: “Flames of Paris”, energy and freedom
Closing the evening of May 31st will be Flames of Paris, a choral ballet set during the French Revolution. A powerful and vibrant choreography, a hymn to freedom, courage and the power of change.
June 2nd is the turn of the middle schools: a journey through history and narration
The third appointment is set for Sunday, June 2, again at the Teatro delle Arti. The protagonists are the students of the middle courses, engaged in a path that combines technique and theatricality, accompanied by guest dancers such as Davide Raimondo, Domenico Petti and Simone Centanni.
Grand finale on June 29th: explosion of styles and contaminations
