They are an 80-year-old man, Gaetano Di Mauro, resident in Caivano, and a woman, whose personal details have not yet been disclosed. The man, well known in his town for his passion for cabaret and shows in local schools, was traveling with a woman.
The accident, which occurred in the direction Capodichino, involved a heavy vehicle driven by a truck driver with no criminal record, coming from Pozzuoli. The driver immediately stopped to provide assistance and was subjected to checks and alcohol tests, as is standard practice.
