Milano – A 48-year-old woman died after jumping from the fourth floor of a building in Viale Abruzzi 64, Milan, to escape a fire that broke out during the night.
The victim, transported to the hospital in very serious conditions, died a few hours later. The tragedy is tinged with mystery: the first investigations reveal that the door of the apartment, from which the fire started, was closed from the outside.

The investigations, conducted by the State Police and the Fire Investigation Unit (NIA) of the Fire Brigade, are ongoing to ascertain the causes of the fire and not exclude the hypothesis of arson.
During the extinguishing and rescue operations, the entire building was evacuated as a precaution. Two people were hospitalized with a green code for mild intoxication or illness, while the other occupants returned to their homes.
However, 12 apartments, including the one affected by the flames and those adjacent to it, have been declared uninhabitable until safety conditions are restored.
The community of Viale Abruzzi is in shock over what happened, while the authorities are trying to shed full light on a story that still has many dark sides.
