Federico Vassallo returns to the music scene with a song that promises to make its way into summer playlists: FOTTUTA ESTATE, available on all digital platforms starting Friday 6 June 2025.
The video of the song, shot by Matteo Menapace, will be visible from June 5th.
The new artistic phase
The song anticipates the beginning of a new artistic chapter for Vassallo, who confirms himself as an irreverent and courageous voice with a powerful, emotional and raw text,
“A provocative title – says Federico Vassallo – which contains a visceral and authentic story, with a strong autobiographical component. “I was a fragile boy who wanted to scream / that life at a certain point can change us” - This passage of the song expresses the urgency of my personal experience, which is intertwined with a collective narrative in which I am sure many will be able to recognize themselves.
FOTTUTA ESTATE is not just a summer single, it's a poetic outburst, an emotional snapshot of someone who has experienced it firsthand and decided to sing without filters.
With direct words and intense writing, Federico Vassallo signs a text that speaks of fragility, broken illusions, desire for rebirth and awareness.
Francesco Giacomello's musical production colors and gives rhythm to the voice and the words and breaks the emotional tension of FOTTUTA ESTATE - I thought of an energetic arrangement, at 150 bpm with a 4/4 bass drum, very danceable - says Giacomello - The bass is pressing with analog synths that recall the 80s, and a retro piano and guitar that dialogue with the voice, creating an engaging and nostalgic sound.
