Over 5.000 euros in fines in a single day and a clear message to those who work without rules: in Lettere, the Municipality raises its voice against the chaos of construction sites. It is the result of an operation conducted by the Municipal Police, on direct input from the administration, to bring order to the work of laying the optical fiber that is affecting various areas of the country.
The tight controls, carried out with determination, have highlighted a series of irregularities by several companies in charge of the interventions. The most frequent violations concern the lack of proper road signs near construction sites, creating dangerous situations for motorists and pedestrians and generating a widespread sense of urban disorder.
Leading the repressive action was the commander of the Municipal Police, Captain Salvatore Giordano, who made the administration's line clear: “We will no longer tolerate improvisation and carelessness. Those who work in Lettere must respect the rules, ensuring safety and decorum”. The companies fined, in addition to the reports, were invited to immediately restore the original conditions of the roads. Otherwise, new measures will be taken.

It is important that the Municipality of Lettere takes these measures to regularize the construction sites. However, I wonder if the sanctioned companies can really change their way of working after the fines. Safety is fundamental.
