Napoli – In the beating heart of Naples, among the alleys and voices of Pignasecca, a cultural stronghold is preparing to turn the lights back on for the twenty-seventh consecutive year.

It is not just a theatre, the Bracco in via Tarsia 40 is a soul, a refuge where comedy becomes a collective ritual and laughter is a balm for the spirit. And it is with this indomitable spirit that the 2025-2026 season announces itself, bolder and more generous than ever, under the guidance of artistic director Caterina De Santis.

At a time when costs are rising, Bracco launches a courageous challenge: “buy one and come in two”. An almost whispered invitation that becomes a manifesto of generosity for the loyal audience. “With two, you double the joy and well-being”, says De Santis’ motto, transforming the theater into a real embrace.

A rich program: 12 subscription shows plus a gift

The new season, which promises to be explosive, will kick off on October 23 with a heartfelt homage to the great Neapolitan song: “Senza Ipocrisia”, a tribute to Angela Luce with Thayla Orefice, live orchestra and direction by Bruno Garofalo.

Following on November 13, the ensemble comedy “Super” will bring to the stage a brilliant cast that includes Enzo Casertano, Beatrice Fazi and Gianni Ferreri. From November 27, the brothers Luciano and Massimo Salvetti will enchant the audience with the musical show “Storta va…deritta vene!”.

December, the 11th, will see on stage “Tesoro non è come credi” by Paolo Caiazzo, directed by Claudio Insegno and De Santis herself alongside Enzo Casertano. The new year will open on January 15th with the sweet irony of “Partenza in salita”, which will see Corrado Tedeschi and his daughter Camilla as protagonists.

On January 22nd, the irresistible comedy of I Ditelo Voi will overwhelm the audience with their hilarious “Se posso”. From February 5th, the scarpetta tradition will return with “Tre pecora viziose” by Compagnia di Zazzà, while on February 19th it will be the turn of “No pe' sorde ma pe' denare!” by Claudio Insegno.

Caterina De Santis will return as the protagonist from March 5 with Fabio Brescia in their new comedy “Una suocera croccante”. From March 26, the scenario changes with the brilliant “Lapponia – risate e bugie sotto la neve”, which will see Sergio Muniz and Miriam Mesturino directed by Ferdinando Ceriani.

April will be an intense month: on the 9th with Paolo Caiazzo in “Boomer – un papà sul divano”, and from the 16th with the chameleonic Ciro Ceruti in “Shit Life – una vita daattore”.

The grand finale, starting April 30, is a special gift for subscribers: Federica Cifola and her “Mamma…zzo!”, an act of love from the theatre towards its loyal audience.

An ethical commitment: the theatre lowers prices

“When everything increases and the cost of living reaches unacceptable heights, the Bracco Theater makes a U-turn and chooses to cut its rates,” Caterina De Santis states decisively. A policy adopted since its reopening in 1999, which although it involves a sacrifice for the company, repays with “the gratification and enthusiasm that the audience transmits to us”.

The opening hours remain the usual and beloved ones: Thursday and Friday at 21.00:19.30 pm, Saturday at 18.30:XNUMX pm and Sunday at XNUMX:XNUMX pm, with further reductions for Saturday.

The 2025-2026 season of the Teatro Bracco is much more than a simple program: it is a declaration of love to Naples and its people, a strenuous defense of laughter as a form of resistance. It is the confirmation that, in difficult times, the theater can still be a home, a place where joy is a right.

This article is about the Bracco theater which is a very important place for Neapolitan culture. I think the new season and the comedies that are there are interesting. I hope to be able to go and see some shows, even if time is short.
