There's no room for fraudsters and illegal operators at Capodichino Airport. Naples' local police conducted a large-scale inspection operation aimed at uncovering irregular behavior by taxi and chauffeur-driven vehicles, right in the heart of the city's tourist and commercial hub. Officers from the Airport Department and the Tourist Police Unit inspected 44 vehicles, issuing ten fines for various violations.
In particular, a driver was targeted NCC Caught operating without a permit, his vehicle was seized and his license was immediately revoked. Taxi drivers also suffered from the raid: one was fined for failing to issue a receipt, four others for picking up passengers outside of designated areas, and another for abandoning his vehicle during his shift.
The operation also involved drivers of private vehicles: one of them was reported for driving without a license, failing to have a vehicle inspected, and having no documents at all, revealing a situation of total illegality. A clear signal: Naples doesn't turn a blind eye to those who profiteer on the margins of public transportation.

L’operazione di controllo all’aeroporto sembra essere una buona iniziativa per combattere le attivita illegali. Ma forse servirebbe un maggiore dialogo tra autorità e tassisti per trovare soluzioni più efficaci. La situazione è complessa.
