COpen – Not only the allure of the crystalline waters, but also fights, endless lines, and alleged “protections” to access the Blue Grotto, one of Capri's most iconic attractions.
A video sent to Europa Verde MP Francesco Emilio Borrelli and councilor Gianni Caselli has brought to light the tensions that have long plagued access to the famous sea cave.
The images show a fight between boatmen, but the problem, according to the complainants, goes much deeper: tourists are forced to pay extra, under the table, to skip the line, while those waiting their turn are bypassed by those willing to pay. This practice fuels discontent and fights, with the risk of escalating into even more serious incidents.
“It is a shameful system, which mortifies Capri "And tourism in Campania," Borrelli and Caselli attack. "We demand immediate investigations: who manages admissions? Why are these extortions tolerated?" The complaint points to a possible double chain: on one side, official tickets, on the other, a black market of "tips" to avoid the wait. "It's legalized extortion, and it must end," the two environmentalists thunder.
The question now is: who benefits? While there may be illegal immigrants taking advantage of the chaos, there's also the suspicion that even those who legally manage admissions are turning a blind eye. Meanwhile, tourists are divided between those who pay to get in early and those who protest, while the authorities are being called upon to intervene before Capri's image is further damaged.
One thing is certain: the Blue Grotto deserves to be admired by everyone, without racketeering or bullying.

It seems to me that the situation on Capri is very complex, there are many problems and it's not right that tourists have to pay more to enter. It would be better if the authorities did something.
