NApoli– A bicycle pusher was arrested in the Arenaccia neighborhood of Vasto, having been betrayed by his own client. The operation occurred during a series of targeted checks by the State Police in the area.
Officers, on patrol, noticed a man on a bicycle trying to sell something to another person in exchange for money on Via Carbonara. They responded immediately: law enforcement officers arrested both individuals.
The buyer was found in possession of four recently purchased packages of heroin and two packages of cocaine. The seller, however, had three packages of cocaine and €4 in banknotes of various denominations, likely the proceeds of drug dealing.
The pusher, Carmelo Esposito, 50 years old, already known to the police for specific precedents linked to the drug dealing, was arrested. The buyer, however, was reported to the Prefecture and fined for illegal possession of narcotics for personal use.
The State Police have announced that checks will continue throughout the area in the coming days to combat drug dealing and use in the city.
