CAstellammare – There's no denying it: the illegal beach resort was so well-equipped that, in addition to providing beach equipment, it also offered food, cold drinks, and ice cream.
But in addition to being illegal in every way, the man was in a restricted area that has been waiting for years to be made safe and designated for use, presumably for tourism. The fact remains that while the private beach establishments nearby charge prices that are unaffordable for single-income, working-class, and even middle-class families, the illegal operator, on the other hand, was offering affordable prices, including for food and drinks.
And so, following a series of reports, the Carabinieri of the local company, together with the local police officers and the military of the port authority, carried out a wide-ranging operation along the coast and on public beaches aimed at repressing illegal activities.
During the operations the controls reached the Pozzano area where the illegal beach The 62-year-old was reported. The man was illegally occupying the beach and renting equipment, selling drinks and food without any authorization or license.
It also had a refrigerator and a coffee machine.
In an area already seized, the 62-year-old had 35 sun loungers, 24 chairs, a food-safe display case, a refrigerated ice cream counter, a coffee machine with a trolley for transporting it, a metal display stand, and various food products including snacks, ice cream, and soft drinks.
Everything was seized.
Local police checks on the territory of Castellammare di Stabia
Operations carried out by the Administrative Police of the Local Police, led by Lieutenant Donato Palmieri, in collaboration with the Carabinieri, have demonstrated that the same hand is always behind the illegal activity on the coast: the Camorra. It's no coincidence that the large seizure of beach equipment three days ago was in a warehouse on Via Napoli. The individual reported yesterday with an illegal beach resort at the former Colonia Ferrovieri has his last residence at Via Napoli 128.

I don't know what to say about this situation; it seems like illegal construction is a serious problem. But it's true that the prices at these establishments are too high for those with little money. Perhaps more attention should be paid to these things.
