Napoli– The Officina dei Talenti, an innovative space for creative expression and social inclusion promoted by the Mental Health Department of the ASL Napoli 1 Centro, has come to life in the former Leonardo Bianchi psychiatric hospital in Naples.
A project that combines theater, music, and performing arts to promote psychosocial well-being, active participation, and the participation of the entire community, especially those with disabilities.
The rapper also supports the initiative Geolier, testimonial of the initiative and present at the inauguration together with the President of the Campania Region, Vincenzo De Luca.
The new cultural "workshop" was created as a permanent laboratory, open not only to mental health workers and users, but also to schools, associations, amateur theater companies, professional artists, and ordinary citizens. At the heart of the project is the belief that art can be a tool for redemption, growth, and inclusion.
“Through creative workshops, school and evening shows, multidisciplinary festivals and training courses – explains Luisa Russo, head of department of the ASL Napoli 1 Centro – the project aims to strengthen territorial networks and promote collective well-being, also giving a voice to those who are often left on the margins, such as people with autism”.
The spaces of the former mental asylum have been adapted to host rehearsals, performances, meetings, and artistic activities, thanks to numerous rooms equipped for performing arts. Geolier also made a concrete contribution, donating musical instruments to the facility and providing the students with a professional teacher, reaffirming the value of music "as a means of awareness, freedom, and transformation."
"We envisioned this place as a permanent laboratory of possibilities," said ASL Director General Ciro Verdoliva, "where everyone can feel free to experiment, make mistakes, and learn. Supporting our children also means offering them beauty, human connections, and the regenerative power of art."
"Geolier participated with generosity and authenticity," added Verdoliva. "His music speaks to Naples, giving voice to difficult realities, but it does so with respect and intensity. His presence is a strong message, speaking to young people and the suburbs."

This project is truly interesting and could greatly help people with disabilities. The idea of a workshop for everyone is important because everyone can participate, even those who need the most help. I hope it will be successful.
