NNaples – A week of tight controls in the Gulf of Naples, ordered by the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Security, chaired by Prefect Michele di Bari, saw the Port Authority, the State Police, the Carabinieri, the Guardia di Finanza, and the Metropolitan Police in action.
Between June 30 and July 6, law enforcement officers searched 406 vessels and boats, issuing 119 fines and 6 seizures. During the operations, 518 people were checked, receiving 67 fines for violations of the Navigation Code and 15 for unfitness to drive.
Additionally, eight illegal moorings were identified and three shipyards inspected. The operation, aimed at combating all forms of illegality at sea, aims to ensure the safety of swimmers, boaters, and sports enthusiasts.
The authorities announce that the checks will continue in the coming weeks with a large deployment of forces, to maintain high vigilance and protect the Gulf of Napoli, one of the most frequented maritime areas in the country.
