NNaples – Officers from the Vomero Operational Unit raided a well-known pizzeria in Piazza Vanvitelli this morning, where an illegal outdoor platform set up without the necessary municipal permits was seized.
During the administrative inspection, the staff found the presence of an unauthorized structure, consisting of a structure with wooden flooring, aluminum frames, glass or plexiglass panels around the entire perimeter, and tilt-and-turn doors.
The area was equipped with 20 tables and 80 chairs, as well as a permanently fixed metal sideboard, outdoor heaters, surveillance cameras, and umbrellas with integrated lighting.
According to what was communicated by the Municipality, the occupation of public land was found to be completely abusive, not being among those authorised by the Administration.
For this reason, the entire platform was seized, with charges of trespassing on public land and administrative violations for occupation in violation of the permit.
Investigations are continuing to ascertain any further irregularities.

It's a little strange that a pizzeria can have a counter without a permit, but I think it's right that the authorities monitor these things to maintain order. However, sometimes I wonder if it's a bit excessive.
