Vincenzo De Luca is making his voice heard again ahead of the upcoming regional elections, and he does so from Caserta, with words that sound like a warning to Rome. After meeting with Giuseppe Conte, the Campania governor made it clear that, for now, the focus isn't on candidates, but on programs, priorities, and responsibilities. The line is clear: first, decide what to do, then who is capable of doing it. The issue, however, is entirely political. And it concerns the balance within the center-left coalition and the role of the Five Star Movement.
“The problem is not the election campaign – explained De Luca – But who really governs Campania? And in Rome, many still haven't understood what it means to do so, because this is the toughest trench in Italy." These words sound like a dig at those who, according to the president, want to impose names and strategies from above without knowing the battlefield.
The message is clear: the future of the Region cannot be decided at a table. Campania, with its complexities and daily challenges, needs figures rooted in the local area, with experience and vision. And it will be the coalition that chooses, not a national leader. De Luca He defends the work done in recent years and prepares for the confrontation, but in his own way: with all his cards in hand and without accepting diktats.

I read the article, and it seems like De Luca has clear ideas about how to proceed with the elections. However, I wonder if his words are truly shared by everyone, or if they are just empty words. Politics is complicated.
