DAfter the triumph of the winter season, Vincenzo Salemme returns to enchant the Italian public with his new comedy “Ogni promessa è debito”, in a summer tour that is crossing the Peninsula.
Starting in Caserta, the tour will visit cities such as Lecce, Trani, Sabaudia, Macerata, Pisa, and Rome, concluding with a highly anticipated grand finale in Naples on September 20th and 21st.
Written and directed by Salemme himself, the comedy revolves around a question as surreal as it is irresistibly comical: is a vow made in an unconscious state, while half asleep, really binding?
The protagonist is Benedetto Croce, pizza chef of bacoli, who, after a boating accident, ends up lost at sea with his children and waiter. Struck in the head and unconscious, Benedetto invokes Saint Anne, promising over the radio a donation of €5.557.382 and 60 cents for the rescue effort.
Miraculously rescued, upon awakening he remembers nothing of the vote. But the country does, and everyone expects him to honor his promise. Why such a precise figure? Does that money really exist, or is it just a whim of the subconscious? And how will Benedict navigate the balance between popular ethics and a promise he doesn't remember making?
With his unmistakable style, Salemme weaves laughter and reflection, exploring the weight of promises and the dynamics of popular morality. Produced by Chi è di scena, the tour is organized by Vincenzo Berti, Gianluca Bonanno for Ventidieci, and Stefano Francioni Produzioni. After the debut in Caserta, the next stops include Lecce (August 3), Trani (August 4), Sabaudia (August 10), Macerata (September 8), Pisa (September 10), and Rome (September 13), before returning home to Naples.
Tickets are available on Ticketone.it. This is an unmissable opportunity to immerse yourself in Salemme's comedic talent, which continues to captivate audiences with his wit and sharp perspective on life.

Salemme's comedy seems interesting, but I don't know if a vow made while half asleep is a serious matter. Promises should be made with good conscience. I hope the audience enjoys this show and that it's entertaining.
