Castel Volturno – A beach resort in Castel Volturno has been placed under emergency seizure.
The Public Prosecutor's Office of Santa Maria Capua Vetere acted after the investigations conducted by the Guardia di Finanza and the Port Authority of Castel Volturno, coordinated by the Naples Attorney General's Office, revealed that the beach concession was registered to a company linked to a convicted felon, currently in prison for organized crime offenses.
The measure is based on the provisions of the Anti-Mafia Code, which prohibits those convicted of organized crime from enjoying public concessions. Despite this, the company in question continued to operate the beach, in clear violation of the law.
The operation is part of a broader environmental protection and legal effort promoted by the Naples Attorney General's Office, which brought to light the illegal management of the beach by an individual linked to organized crime, a phenomenon unfortunately widespread in the Caserta area.
The investigations, carried out in collaboration between the Economic and Financial Police Unit of Caserta, the Mondragone Company of the Guardia di Finanza and the Port Authority of Castel Volturno, led to an immediate seizure, confirming the authorities' commitment to combating mafia infiltration into the local economy.
