Fire on the slopes of Vesuvius in Boscoreale
Boscoreale – A fire broke out on the slopes of Vesuvius in the Boscoreale area this afternoon. Two Canadair aircraft from the Campania Region Civil Protection Department are in action.
Firefighters are trying to prevent the flames from spreading, as they could engulf some homes and accommodations in the area.
Ground firefighters are also responding. The situation currently appears to be under control, but strong winds could help the flames spread.
Although the weather conditions could help put out the flames due to the presence of clouds that promise imminent rain.
