Horse dragged by scooter in Ponticelli, causing widespread outrage
A speechless incident that once again shines a spotlight on the degradation and lawlessness that has long characterized some areas of Naples, particularly Ponticelli. At the heart of the highway 162 dir, a short walk from the Centro Direzionale, two people without helmets dragged a horse pulled by the scooter they were riding, capturing a bizarre and dangerous scene.
The video, obtained by Green-Left Alliance MP Francesco Emilio Borrelli, known for his fight against widespread illegality, quickly circulated on social media, sparking outrage and protests. Among potholes, piles of rubbish, and crumbling signage, the situation becomes even more dramatic, highlighting the total disregard for regulations and safety on the part of those involved in this episode.
"This is not folklore or a game, but an act of violence and irresponsibility that puts everyone's life at risk, including animals.", he thundered Borrelli. "Those who commit such acts demonstrate a complete lack of respect for their own safety and that of others, and must be identified and severely punished: fines, reports, and the seizure of vehicles and animals are the bare minimum. We cannot allow our streets to become lawless jungles."
