Venice – A gondola ride turned into an unexpected dip for a group of tourists and the gondolier accompanying them. The accident occurred yesterday in an inland canal in Venice, when the boat suddenly capsized, sending everyone into the water.
According to initial reports, the accident was caused by a sudden movement on board: it's not uncommon for passengers to get up or move to take selfies or videos, thus unbalancing the traditional rowing boat.
Fortunately, no one was injured and the improvised castaways found support on the moored boats and the bars of the windows overlooking the canal, managing to return to shore without consequences.
The video of the episode, filmed by some of those present, went viral within hours, bouncing around social media.
