Carinaro, found on the street with a stolen bag shortly before: reported

Carinaro, Campania – This evening, during a territorial patrol, Carabinieri officers from the Marcianise Company's Mobile Radio Section intercepted a man running along a city street clutching a woman's handbag and trying to hide it.

The operation allowed the origin of the bag and its contents, including documents and personal effects, to be verified, which facilitated the identification of its rightful owner. Examination of the evidence led to the identification of the bag in the name of a 44-year-old woman living in the Caserta area, who had reported the theft to the Gricignano di Aversa station.

Based on these elements, the man was reported at liberty to the judicial authorities for receiving stolen goods. The bag, along with the items found inside, were recovered and returned to the owner. The Public Prosecutor's Office was notified for its competent assessment; the suspect's position is now being examined by the judicial authorities, in accordance with the presumption of innocence and the safeguards provided by law.
