Anna Pia De Rienzo
San Quirico d'Orcia (Siena) – Sixty kilometers along the Via Francigena to earn the title of ultramarathon runner. This is the feat achieved by Anna Pia De Rienzo, representative of the Sannio Runners Dropexpress, who crossed the finish line in San Quirico d'Orcia at the end of the Walking Francigena Ultramarathon.
Her husband Luca Bagnoli was her first fan, cheering her on and eagerly awaiting her arrival.
For Anna Pia, it was an even more significant challenge: she had never run a marathon, but she chose to challenge herself with a longer distance, successfully surpassing her limits. The entire Sannio Runners Dropexpress team supported her and proudly followed her feat.
The Walking Francigena Ultramarathon is a running and hiking event held annually along the Via Francigena in Tuscany, with San Quirico d'Orcia as the central hub or starting and finishing point for several sections. The daytime route starts from Piazza del Duomo in Siena and passes through the Val d'Arbia and Val d'Orcia to San Quirico d'Orcia.
"We are honored that Anna Pia represented the colors of Sannio Runners Dropexpress in this endeavor. Thank you, on behalf of the entire company," said President Gerardo Giorgione.
