With drugs on the regional train: two young men from Salerno arrested

DTwo young people found in possession of drugs while traveling on a train on the Naples-Rome line were arrested by the off-duty Carabinieri. It happened yesterday at the Fondi (Latina) train station. Two young men aged 20 and 25 from the province of Salerno are in trouble.

The two young men were noticed on the inter-regional train by a soldier who, suspicious of their behavior, alerted the local Carabinieri command. With the help of two colleagues off duty, he then stopped the boys who were subjected to a personal search. During the investigations, 125 grams of ecstasy, 1 gram of cocaine, 4 grams of marijuana and another 20 grams of amphetamines and 15 milliliters of poppers were found. During the search, the Carabinieri also found packaging material and the sum of 490 euros in cash, believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing. All the material was seized while the two boys were arrested for possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing; after the formal procedures, they were taken to the prison in Via Aspromonte at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
