How notifications work

Cronache della Campania supports notifications for desktop and mobile browsers: if you have enabled notifications and now want to disable them, here is how to do it.

We remind you that notifications are were activated by you and that we have no way to disable them from your devices.

Google Chrome

If you use Google Chrome, you can find the updated guide on how to enable and disable notifications in This Page.

 

desktop

Allow or block notifications from all sites

  1. Open Chrome on your computer.
  2. At the top right, click More Other and then Settings.
  3. Click on Advanced in conclusion.
  4. In the “Privacy and Security” section, click on Site settings.
  5. Click on Notifications.
  6. Choose to block or allow notifications.
    • Block all notifications: disable the option Ask before sending.
    • Block a site: click on Add next to “Block”. Indicate the site and click on Add.
    • Allow a site: click on Add next to “Allow”. Indicate the site and click on Add.

 

Android

Allow or block notifications from all sites

  1. Open the Chrome app Chrome on your Android phone or tablet.
  2. Tap More Other and then Settings to the right of the address bar.
  3. Toccata Site settings and then Notifications.
  4. Toggle the setting above on or off.

Allow or block notifications from specific sites

  1. Open the Chrome app Chrome on your Android phone or tablet.
  2. Visit the website you do not want to receive notifications from.
  3. Tap More Other and then Information Information to the right of the address bar.
  4. Toccata Site settings and then Notifications.
    • If you don't see this setting, it means the website can't send you notifications.
  5. Select Allow o Block.

 

 

Apple Safari

If you use Apple Safari, you can find the updated guide on how to enable and disable notifications in This Page.

In the Safari app On your Mac, do one of the following:

  • Stop receiving notifications from a website: Choose Safari > Preferences, click Websites, then click Notifications. Find the website in the list, then select “Deny.”
  • Change how a website's notifications appear: choose the Apple menu > System Preferences, click Notifications, select the website on the left, then change the notification alert style and other settings on the right.
  • Stop asking for permission to send notifications in Safari: Choose Safari > Preferences, click Websites, then click Notifications. Uncheck “Allow websites to ask permission to send push notifications.” From now on, when you visit a website that can send you notifications, you won’t be asked if you want to allow notifications from the website.

To disable push notifications from a website, proceed as follows:

  1. Click the menu button Fx57Menu and select Preferences.
  2. Select the panel Privacy and security and move to the section Permissions.
  3. Click the button Settings… in correspondence with the voice Notifications.
  4. Select the website from which you no longer wish to receive notifications.
  5. click on Remove website.
