Whirlpool and Jabil in the square. Cgil and Fiom Campania: 'Politics must choose to be on the side of workers. Over 1000 jobs at risk'

Naples, February 10, 2020. “The fight of Jabil and Whirlpool does not stop. Today in Caserta and Naples, unions and workers took to the streets to ask politicians and institutions which side they want to be on. Whether on the side of the workers, who have been fighting for months to defend the right to work, or whether they want to be on the side of the American multinationals who think they can come to our country and tear up ministerial agreements. Politics has the obligation to take sides and understand how to defend what remains of the industry in Campania. We are faced with two disputes that, directly and indirectly, employ more than a thousand people. March 23 could be the day of dismissal for the 350 workers of Jabil in Marcianise: politics must prevent this”.

Thus in a note the general secretary of Cgil Campania, Nicola Ricci and the general secretary of Fiom-Cgil Campania, Massimiliano Guglielmi who today participated in Caserta in the procession promoted by the trade union organizations and the workers of the Marcianise site.
