“129 passengers got off the train from Milan in Naples, none of them had a temperature above 37,5 degrees and therefore no serological test was carried out”. This is the result of the strict control at Naples Central Station coordinated by Olimpia Abbate, director of the Polfer department for Campania. “We knew – explains Abbate – that there would be an increase in travellers this morning but everyone got on or off the trains respecting the safety distance, following an order that will become a habit. In addition to the first train from Milan, we are also waiting for the one departing from Turin that arrives at 16,35:350 pm and another around midnight from Milan. We are expecting another XNUMX passengers. We knew that there would be a small invasion, we had monitored the ticket sales and we knew that those who were stuck outside Campania would return”.
At the Naples station, Abbate explains, “today there are 100 officers to verify order and compliance with the rules for covid19 but a part of them is assigned to anti-crime checks because we also expected these criminal phenomena with the restart of activities. And in fact two people were stopped with a small quantity of narcotics”. At the Piazza Garibaldi station what remained of the little more than 160 travellers who left were stopped by the police and civil protection and taken, through a delimited path, to the station set up by the ASL, where they were subjected to body temperature measurement and, in the case of a temperature equal to or higher than 37,5 C, to a rapid Covid-19 test. Documents and a self-certification were requested with the place where they will observe home isolation and with the commitment to remain available for checks by the regional health service. As for the other arrivals of the day, there are two additional trains that will arrive at Naples Central, both departing from Turin Porta Nuova station: number 9311 expected at 16:35 and number 9559 expected around midnight. For now, no passenger has high body temperature.
