Naples. Designer shoes and children's masks: major seizure by the Guardia di Finanza of Naples in a container in the industrial area of Poggioreale and in Melito.
The Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza of Naples seized, during two separate operations, over 60.000 counterfeit items, including 2600 children's masks. In particular, the Pronto Impiego Group, starting from the monitoring of the recovering trade flows in the market area of "Maddalena", identified, in the industrial area of the Poggioreale district, a 47-year-old of Chinese origin who, on board his car, had entered an area used as a container depot and started to take boxes from one of them.
Further investigations allowed the Guardia di Finanza to discover that inside the warehouse there were 8 other containers, all owned by the same individual, containing footwear with counterfeit brands of well-known sports brands: “Adidas”, “Nike” and “Fila”, ready to be placed on the market as “author's fake”.
At the end, the goods were seized and the person responsible was reported for counterfeiting and receiving stolen goods.
During a second operation, this time in Mugnano di Napoli, the Green Berets, during a road check, stopped a 38-year-old from Melito, who was found to be involved in trafficking counterfeit products.
The subsequent search of a premises in his possession allowed, in fact, to seize 5700 items (colouring books, bracelets, spinners) with counterfeit brands of well-known children's characters, such as "Bing", "Pjmasks", "LOL", as well as 2600 pseudo-protective masks for children, of poor quality and potentially harmful to health.
In this case too, the person responsible was criminally charged with counterfeiting and receiving stolen goods.
