I Carabinieri of the NAS of Naples seized 50 kilograms of fish products found in poor condition with a value of approximately 2.500 euros and reported a retailer during checks inside the Pozzuoli Fish Market.
During the operation, which began at dawn shortly after the opening time to the public, the military combed through all the stands active in the structure, checking the hygienic and sanitary conditions, the state of conservation and the traceability of fish and seafood, finding numerous irregularities.
During the checks, critical issues emerged such as poor food preservation and the lack of traceability certification by some traders who did not provide information about the origin of the products on the stands.
Nine violations of food hygiene and safety were detected and fines were issued for a total of 9 thousand euros.
