Fake accidents, kids and poor people recruited. ALL THE NAMES

They hired people in precarious economic conditions and, in some cases, even minors or those suffering from serious pathologies to simulate false accidents road.

Victims who agreed to suffer injuries, even of a particularly serious nature, with the promise that the insurance compensation would be more substantial the more serious the damages were: they suffered injuries to their limbs, broke their wrists or they broke their teeth with the nail clippers.

This is what emerged from the investigations coordinated by the public prosecutor's office Avellino which led to the execution of 11 precautionary measures against the same number of suspects for criminal association aimed at fraud against an insurance institution and material and ideological forgery committed by a public official in public documents (four people ended up in prison, an obligation to remain in residence and two suspensions from practicing the profession).

At the same time, a preventive seizure of movable and immovable assets for the sum of 273 thousand euros was carried out against 10 of the suspects, considered to be the promoters and organizers of the criminal groups.

 Fake accidents, house arrest for two lawyers

Two lawyers from the Avellino Bar Association are also under house arrest: Fabio Guerriero and William Trerotola. Same measure for Giuseppe Testa and Ramona Fierro. Consultants Samantha Porcile and Salvatore De Vito suspended from practicing their profession. Kevin De Vito, Danilo Porcile, brothers Patrizio and Mario Emanuele Tedesco in prison. Again, Gennaro Cirino is subject to the obligation to remain at home.

The investigations have allowed us to ascertain that there were three organizations active especially in Avellino dedicated to a notable quantity of fake road accidents, with the help of various accomplices, of various social and professional backgrounds. They are 74 fake accidents reconstructed, for a potential economic damage to the insurance companies involved equal to approximately 600mila euros (of which over 270 thousand approximately already paid out to the false victims of the accidents).

The system found 267 people involved, each with very specific tasks. The false accidents were staged in areas without video surveillance systems and, therefore, difficult to document. They are 17 doctors investigated for having made false statements regarding the injuries suffered by the victims, three lawyers (two of whom ended up under house arrest) and two owners of road accident firms, recipients of the order prohibiting them from practicing their professional activity.
