Amalfi, Luna Rossa parking: works to adapt the facilities will begin on Monday 14 November. The parking lot will remain open to the public until 20:00 pm on Sunday 13 November 2022.
The work to upgrade the mechanical systems of the Luna Rossa garage in Amalfi will begin on Monday 14 November 2022, for which the rock structure will remain closed until next spring.
In accordance with the timetable, the car park will remain open to the public until 20:00 pm on Sunday 13 November 2022 for the execution of the works indicated in the executive project approved by the Municipality and favourably assessed, as far as it is concerned, by the Provincial Fire Brigade Command.
A fundamental intervention planned by the Municipal Administration, led by Mayor Daniele Milano, aimed at definitively resolving the detected infrastructural deficiencies in the rock garage and made possible thanks to financing of approximately 3,6 million euros by Acamir and the Campania Region.
Given the need to speed up the process and proceed with the opening of the construction site, the “Public Works and State Property” Sector, headed by Eng. Pietro Fico, proceeded with the assignment of the works through the completion of the tender procedures started last July and concluded in the last few days with the awarding of the tender for a total amount of just over 2,7 million euros.
Specifically, the interventions envisaged in the contract will concern, among others, the demolition of the existing electrical and ventilation systems, on all four levels, the creation of new types of systems to replace the previous ones, the creation of air intake and extraction circuits, the modification of the fire prevention network.
