Pompeii: 73-Year-Old With Mental Disabilities Gets Lost in Crowd of Visitors

He is 73 years old and is a guest in a Residential Health Care Facility in Matera. The facility organized a trip to Campania and, taking advantage of the beautiful days, the tourist group also visited the splendid city of Pompeii.

During the trip, however, the elderly man (with mental disabilities) moves away from the group probably due to temporary disorientation. The report occurs while the visitors are in the Sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the Holy Rosary of Pompei and the Carabinieri of the Santuario permanent station have started looking for the 73-year-old.

Luckily the man had his cell phone with him and the soldiers contacted him. The voice of the carabiniere follows the man on the phone and guides him to via Plinio indicating a gas station.
