Fittipaldi Murder, Alleged Trongone Clan Killer Arrested

Naples. Fittipaldi murder: alleged killer of the Trongone clan arrested.

The agents of the Naples mobile squad have executed a custodial order in prison against Arcangelo Trongone, 54, investigated for murder and illegal possession of a weapon, with the aggravating circumstance of the mafia method. The man, according to investigators, is a member of the Trongone clan of the same name, confederated with the Mariano and Prinno clans, hegemonic in the Spanish neighborhoods.

Trongone, according to what emerged from the investigations of the DDA of Naples, would be the material executor of the murder of Gennaro Fittipaldi, killed on May 18, 2015 in via Chiavettieri al Porto, with a shot to the back of the head. From the investigations, coordinated by the anti-mafia, it emerged that Fittipaldi was killed because he had distanced himself from the criminal group directed by Angelo Trongone, to pass into the ranks of the rival clan confederation of Sibillo-Giuliano-Amirante-Brunetti.

The precautionary order against the suspect was executed yesterday by the agents of the Flying Squad.
