E' the proposal to modify the Citizen's Income is coming, as provided by the latest budget law, with a maximum subsidy that could be around 500 euros for a more limited range of potential beneficiaries.
The name is also changing, from Rdc it could become Mia, or Active Inclusion Measure. From what we know, work has been underway for weeks on a text, currently only a draft, on which a discussion is underway between the majority forces, the Ministry of Labor could present the measure to the Council of Ministers during the next few weeks, to then start a discussion in Parliament that will work on possible changes.
The measure would provide a check of up to 500 euros for families composed of people considered unemployable, with the possibility of a bonus of another 375 euros for this category. The subsidy could also be due to those with very low incomes from work, around 3 thousand euros per year.
The duration of the support should be reduced compared to the current Income, with a decreasing mechanism, the parameters for accessing the accompanying measure of the Income would also be more stringent. The government's intention would be to launch a measure that would lead to savings of between 2 and 3 billion euros per year to be invested in other ways in active labor policies.
The text would also include the involvement of private employment agencies, the presence of greater controls to avoid the scams that have occurred in recent years in the use of the Rdc.
The new measure should be called Mia (Measure for Active Inclusion) and start in August. A tightening should also come on the ISEE ceiling to be entitled to the subsidy which should drop to 7.200 euros from the current 9.360.
Citizenship income, Tridico (Inps): with reform little changes for the unemployable
With the reform of the Citizen's Income "it changes little for the unemployable. There was work to be done on active policies and it seems to me that the government is going in the right direction on this, it seems to me that there is very strong action".
The president of INPS, Pasquale Tridico, said this to the microphones of “24 Mattino” on Radio24. “The minimum income is provided by the European Union, Italy will also have to deal with the European directives, if those who lose their jobs lose their income it seems to me a great criticality”, he added.
