Salerno, mother threatens to kill 2-year-old son: stopped by the Carabinieri

Moments of fear and tension at Salerno where this morning a woman threatened to kill her two-year-old son.

The incident occurred in a house on via Lucio Petrone. The alarm was raised by the husband who was not at home, but had received a message from the woman. The intervention of the Carabinieri prevented the worst: the soldiers, led by Commander Antonio Corvino, rescued the child who was entrusted to a protected facility.

The woman, however, was taken in charge by the 118 health workers who transported her to the hospital. The military of the Arma are working to reconstruct the incident.

From the first information gathered, it seems that the couple was in the process of separating. The husband was questioned by the Carabinieri. Now the magistrate, having gathered the information, including that of social services, will have to decide who to entrust the child to.
