Brand concession to Panuozzo di Gragnano

“Registering the trademark is an important milestone for the city of Gragnano. It will help foster collaboration between entrepreneurs and the Gragnano community.

The municipal administration has dedicated much effort to this issue and the ministerial recognition is a further contribution to the path undertaken.

Gragnano is known throughout the world for its gastronomic delicacies and every step forward in the protection and promotion of food and wine products is a source of great pride for the Gragnano community”.

These are the words of the mayor of Gragnano, Nello D'Auria, who commented on the decision of the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy, through the Italian Patent and Trademark Office, to grant recognition of the collective trademark Panuozzo di Gragnano.

“The trademark was granted after a thorough examination of the regulations for use, which establish the methods of production and distribution of the famous Panuozzo,” commented Dr. Camillo Arpaia, president of the Pizza and Panuozzo Association of Gragnano.

“This is an important recognition for the work carried out by the Pizza and Panuozzo Association of Gragnano, which will allow us to enhance the excellence of Gragnano cuisine and protect ourselves from possible imitations that could deceive consumers regarding the origin and quality of Panuozzo di Gragnano”.
