Salernitana asks Boulaye Dia for 20 million euros in compensation

The legal dispute between the Salernitana e Boulaye Day will be resolved by the Arbitration Panel, after the club of president Danilo Iervolino presented a request following the player's behavior during the trip to Udine. According to what was also reported by coach Fabio Liverani at the end of the match, the striker refused to take the field in the final minutes of the match.

Following this episode, Salernitana decided to punish the player, ordering him to train separately from the rest of the team. The club activated the Arbitration Board, requesting confirmation of the disciplinary measure adopted and a fine equal to 50% of Dia's gross monthly salary until the end of the season. But Salernitana's requests do not stop there.

The company claims to have suffered significant financial damage due to the player's behavior, who had already been involved in a dispute in the summer over the failed transfer, receiving a fine of approximately 15 thousand euros. Now, the company's lawyers have asked the Board for compensation of approximately 20 million euro, corresponding to the investment made to redeem Dia from Villareal during the summer.

Salernitana accuses Dia of unprofessional behavior that would have affected both his market value and the team's performance. Now it will be up to the Arbitration Board, with the appointment of Professor Ferruccio Auletta as Salernitana's arbitrator, to examine the matter, also with the help of any witnesses, and make a decision on the dispute between the player and the club.
