Stalker arrested in Benevento who threatened ex-girlfriend with acid

A 44-year-old man was arrested by the Carabinieri of Benevento for stalking his ex-girlfriend. The man, driven by morbid jealousy, had been harassing the woman for years with phone calls, messages, stalking and threats.

The investigations were started by the woman's complaint, who found the courage to tell the nightmare she was living.

The Carabinieri collected evidence against the man, including audio and video files, which demonstrated his dangerousness.

The man is accused of stalking, threats and private violence. His conduct has caused the woman a persistent state of anxiety and fear, forcing her to alter her lifestyle habits.

The investigating judge, accepting the request of the Benevento Prosecutor's Office, ordered the man to be held in prison.
