Vesuvius also shook at dawn today: magnitude 3.1 shock

The earth is still shaking in the province of Naples and this time not only in the Campi Flegrei but also in the Vesuvio.

Five earthquake tremors were recorded at dawn today by the seismographs of the Vesuvian Observatory: three in the Vesuvius area and two in the Campi Flegrei.

The strongest one, which was also felt by the population of the Vesuvian area, was recorded at 5,55 am and had a magnitude of 3.1 with geographical coordinates (lat, lon) 40.824014.4300 to a depth of 0 km.

But five minutes earlier two tremors of magnitude 1.0 and 1.1 had been recorded in the Phlegraean Fields within a few seconds.

Then at 6.04 a second shock in the Vesuvius area of ​​magnitude 1.8 and the third at 6.17 of magnitude 1.9.

Control measures have been taken by the Civil Protection and at the moment no damage to people or things has been reported. And this time too, it is the social networks that warn and report the shaking of houses in the Vesuvian area.
