The “Alto Impatto” operation conducted by the State Police in Castel Volturno involved the use of 40 agents, who checked over 500 people and approximately 50 subjects subjected to preventive, precautionary and security measures.
The operation's balance sheet includes nine people who were the recipients of a "departure order" and 12 reports for various crimes, including theft, brawling, false attestation of personal identity, drug dealing, driving without a license and illegal building. In addition, four illegal immigrants were expelled.
During the checks, the Flying Squad of the Caserta Police Headquarters arrested a wanted non-EU minor, who had escaped from the community where he was under house arrest for having robbed two foreigners in Naples last November.
The young man was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center in Airola. Furthermore, the police officers of the Castel Volturno Police Station reported a young man for possession of drugs for the purpose of dealing, as he was found in possession of hashish and cocaine.
The agents also intervened for a brawl at “Destra Volturno”, reporting a non-EU citizen of Ghanaian origin. Activities are underway to reconstruct the incident and identify the other participants.
The administrative police checks, carried out with the Municipal Police of Castel Volturno and the staff of the ASL of Caserta, led to the sanctioning of three commercial establishments with fines of 13 thousand euros.
In particular, the owner of a bar was reported for illegal building, having modified existing structures, which were seized. A restaurant was closed for lack of health and hygiene requirements, and in a fish shop over 20 kilos of fish, crustaceans and molluscs were seized for lack of traceability.
Finally, on the Domitian coast, a 43-year-old Romanian was found, wanted internationally for a European arrest warrant. The man, who tried to escape at the sight of the police, is guilty of crimes such as child prostitution, human trafficking and exploitation of prostitution, committed in Romania.
