Ischia arrested Ukrainian accused of obstructing a checkpoint and attacking police officers.
It happened yesterday evening, during a territorial control operation, the agents of the Police Station of Ischia they intervened in via Alfredo De Luca, corner of via delle Terme, where a man on an electric bike hindered the routine activity of the officers.
The man, after parking the electric bike near the service car, began to bother the police officers, refusing to move away despite repeated invitations and to provide his personal details. The situation degenerated into a fight, at the end of which the man, identified as a 42-year-old Ukrainian, resident in Ischia, with a police record, was arrested.
The man will have to answer to the charges of personal injury, resisting a public official, interruption of a public service and refusal to provide his personal details.
The episode is yet another that highlights the need for a greater presence of law enforcement on the territory, especially in the areas most frequented by tourists.
