Marano Pusher Caught by Drug-Sniffing Dog's Sniff

Marano. A dog from the Sarno Carabinieri Canine Unit sniffed out drugs hidden in the backpack of a 23-year-old, Romulado Margiotta.

During a check on the streets of Marano, the soldiers found hashish.

The Carabinieri's intuition led them to extend the search to a place owned by the young man, where further drugs emerged: 30 grams of crack, Other 60 grams of hashish, a precision scale and even two bullets.

Margiotta, with no criminal record, was arrested and will now have to answer for possession of drugs for the purpose of dealing.

Sweeping checks and heavy fines

The arrest of the 23-year-old is just one of the results of a wide-ranging operation conducted by the Carabinieri in the municipalities of Melito, Mugnano and Marano.

In via Nenni in Mugnano, a 38enne was reported for carrying instruments capable of causing harm: he had with him a brass knuckles and some disguise clothing.

There was no shortage of traffic controls: 130 vehicles checkedi, over 50 thousand euros in fines contested and 27 scooter e seized cars.

A decisive operation by the Carabinieri that aims to combat crime and illegality on the territory, protecting the safety of citizens.
