Twelve of the twenty-seven sentenced
An unprecedented judicial blow has put an end to the reign of terror of the De Luca Bossa-Minichini clan.
Yesterday, a historic ruling issued by the preliminary hearing judge of the Court of Naples sentenced 27 affiliates to almost three centuries in prison, inflicting almost three centuries of prison on one of the most powerful cartels in the city.
For years, Ponticelli has been prisoner of a nightmare: rivers of drugs, extortion, intimidation and murder have marked the lives of the inhabitants, forced to live under the yoke of the mafia. But justice has arrived, inflicting a very hard blow to the bosses and their henchmen.
The investigation into the De Luca Bossa-Minichini-Casella-Reale superclan culminated last year with the execution of 31 precautionary measures out of 55 suspects.
Among those involved were bosses, leading figures of criminal groups and equally well-known figures, including Giuseppe and Emmanuel De Luca Bossa, Michele Minichini with his sister Martina, Giuseppe Righetto known as “Peppe 'o blob” and Maria D'Amico, sister of the boss Nunzia known as “'a passilona”.
Among the sentences, the 19-year prison sentence handed down to the newly repented Luisa De Stefano, the crazy woman who only two weeks ago confessed in court to her participation, as a swindler, in some murders, stands out.
The accused were charged with various counts of criminal association for the purpose of drug trafficking and numerous episodes of illicit detention, all aggravated by mafia methods.
The drug dealing bases, as Il Roma recalls, were discovered in Piazza De Gasperi, Piazza Comunale Miranda and Piazza Cozzolino Lot 10. One of these was managed by Gabriella Onesto, partner of the boss Michele Minichini.
