There were moments of apprehension this afternoon at Gardaland, where a fire broke out around 2:00 PM in the scenic area dedicated to the Wild West. The flames affected some wooden structures and even reached the track of the Raptor roller coaster, but did not directly affect the attraction.
Firefighters responded quickly to the scene and were able to extinguish the blaze within minutes, preventing it from spreading further. For safety reasons, anyone nearby was immediately evacuated from the affected area.
The park confirmed that no injuries were reported among guests or staff. "People were evacuated as a first step in safety," the facility said, specifying that the fire only affected a portion of the wooden scenery in the Wild West area.
There were no problems for the guests aboard the Raptor at the time. Although smoke and flames could be seen from the roller coaster, the ride was not affected by the fire and was not damaged.
Gardaland remained open as usual, and park operations continued as normal after the area was secured. The cause of the fire remains unclear: investigations are underway to reconstruct the origin of the blaze.
