Naples: Five anti-mafia bans against businesses: Prefecture cracks down on infiltration risks

A new crackdown is underway to combat the risk of mafia infiltration into the economic fabric of the province of Naples. Prefect Michele di Bari has issued five anti-mafia prohibitions against five businesses operating in the area, following an investigation to identify any signs of permeability to organized crime interests.

The measures, the Prefecture explains, are part of a strategy to prevent and protect the legal market, with the aim of preventing companies and productive activities from being influenced by criminal interests.

The companies involved are based in the municipalities of Mugnano di Napoli, Villaricca, San Paolo Bel Sito, and Naples and operate in various sectors: from construction to footwear manufacturing, from equipment rental to entertainment activities, from clothing sales to fruit tree cultivation.

The measures were adopted after careful analysis of information gathered by the competent authorities and are part of the coordinated efforts between the Prefecture, the judicial authorities, and the police to ensure transparency and security in the local economic system.
