The digital service revolutionizes taxi calling in Italy: a single number on WhatsApp, powered by artificial intelligence, will be available in six major Italian cities thanks to the Digitax network.

A new era for taxi services in Italy is about to begin. Starting today, users will be able to book a ride through a single national number on WhatsApp, thanks to the implementation of artificial intelligence. The initiative, promoted by the main Italian Radio Taxi companies that adopt Digitax technology, involves cities such as Milan, Catania, Palermo, Cagliari, Rome, and Naples.

The trial was announced during a meeting held at the Digitax headquarters in Porto Recanati, in the province of Macerata. The goal is to simplify and speed up taxi requests, allowing users to book a car in seconds directly from their smartphone, without having to register.

The promoters emphasize that this solution represents a modern and transparent alternative that enhances local service, countering competition from large multinational platforms. The hope is that more and more radio taxis will embrace this shared vision, joining forces nationwide through a universal tool like WhatsApp.
