Drug Dealing in Piazza Bellini: Young Illegal Citizen Arrested by State Police
The fight against drug trafficking in Naples continues. Yesterday evening, during an extraordinary patrol, the State Police arrested a 19-year-old man with an illegal immigration status for drug possession and dealing.
The operation took place in Piazza Bellini, where officers from the Office of General Prevention and Public Rescue observed a suspicious exchange: a man was handing over a package in exchange for money to another individual who was quickly walking away. Immediately apprehended, the dealer was found in possession of approximately 3 grams of marijuana and 40 euros, believed to be the proceeds of the illegal activity.
The young man was arrested and also charged with illegal entry and residence in Italy. The buyer, however, was fined for personal possession of narcotics. The operation confirms the ongoing commitment of law enforcement to combat drug dealing in the city's busiest areas.
