Cerreto Sannita, abuse of elderly: trial requested for 4 social health workers

The four social health workers of the nursing home for the elderly and care community for the non-self-sufficient located in Cerreto Sannita, accused of mistreatment of the elderly, with the aggravating circumstance of disability, will have to appear before the preliminary hearing judge of Benevento, Loredana Camerlengo, on February 26, 2025.

The four had been subjected to the precautionary measure of the prohibition of approaching the structure, adopted by the GIP Vinetti at the request of the PM Stefania Bianco, with investigations conducted by the Carabinieri and the Guardia di Finanza of Solopaca and Cerreto and the Carabinieri NAS Command of Salerno, following the alleged mistreatment.

GP, a 51-year-old from Cerreto Sannita , LAM, a 56-year-old from Guardia Sanframondi, AM, 48, from Sant'Agata dei Goti, and GS, a 30-year-old from Valle di Maddaloni, appeared before the investigating judge Pietro Vinetti on September 2nd. They were defended by the lawyer Massimo Viscusi, lawyer Emiliano, lawyer Vaccarella, lawyer Antonio Barbieri and lawyer Cosimo Ciotta.

The review had replaced the precautionary measure with a one-year ban from practicing law for three of the defendants. Only MA, from Sant'Agata de' Goti, defended by the lawyer Massimo Viscusi, had not filed an appeal.
