Last night, in Marano di Napoli, the finance police of the GICO of Naples carried out a large anti-drug operation that led to the issuing of 16 precautionary measures against as many suspects.
Those arrested are accused, to varying degrees, of criminal association aimed at drug dealing.
The investigations revealed a sophisticated drug distribution system, which involved various delivery methods: from telephone appointments to home sales.
To evade law enforcement, the suspects used coded language, referring to the drugs with terms such as “t-shirt,” “bread,” “fish,” and “meat.”
In accordance with the provisions of the new Nordio law, the suspects will be subjected to preliminary questioning before the Preliminary Investigations Judge (GIP).
This procedure aims to ensure a timely assessment of charges and to protect the rights of suspects during the initial stages of criminal proceedings.
The operation represents a severe blow to illicit activities related to drug trafficking in the Marano area, highlighting the commitment of law enforcement in combating organized crime in the area.
